Molecular Probe Data Base
The Molecular Probe Data Base (MPDB) contains information on
synthetic oligonucleotides with a sequence of up to 100
nucleotides. Data are mainly taken from the literature and are
encoded on the basis of controlled vocabularies.
At the moment MPDB is searchable through some SRS servers.
The SRS Servers through which it is possible to search MPDB
(that is called MOLPROBE in this context) are the following:
MPDB can easily be retrieved from our FTP server, together with SRS syntax files.
See FTP Site

The most relevant data refer to:
- Identification (name, typology and nucleotide sequence)
- Target gene (name, HGM code, map location, EMBL accession number, allelic variants recognized)
- Applications
- Methods (PCR amplimers, RTPCR primers, DGGE analysis etc.)
- Retrieval sources (bibliographic references, distributors, catalogue codes,...)
