The German Collection of Human and Animal Cell Cultures
The Human and Animal Cell Culture Collection was set up in 1989 within the DSMZ (German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures), which is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the acquisition, characterization, preservation and distribution of bacteria, cell lines, fungi, phages, plant cell cultures, etc.
Particular emphasis is placed on a program of extensive quality and identity control and characterization of the cell lines, which are distributed either frozen or as growing population in dry ice. The number of cell lines collected by the DSMZ is costantly growing.
The DSMZ collection is periodically updated with the data that the DSMZ staff sends to us. If you want a more updated version, you can click directly to the DSMZ Cell Culture Page.
