DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 4-5x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C. Cells achieve a maximum cell density of 1-1.5x1,000,000 cells/ml.
Derived from a female BALB/c myeloma tumour MPC-11. The parental cell line has mutagenised and grown in 6-thioguanine to establish the drug resistant line 45.6.TG1.7. This line is HPRT negative and produces mouse IgG2b kappa immunoglobulins.
