EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Split confluent cultures 1:2 to 1:4 i.e. seeding 3-5x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/0.02% EDTA; 5% CO2; 37C.
Karyotype: 2n = 78
Derived from an osteosarcoma metastatic to the lung in an 11 year old female poodle. Used extensively in virus studies. Susceptible to canine herpes, canine parainfluenza and infectious canine hepatitis.
