DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Horse Serum (HS). Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; using 0.25% trypsin, 5% CO2; 37C.
Derived from Friend leukaemia virus-induced leukaemia in BDF mice. Produces spleen colonies in vivo (of myelomonocytic, megakaryocytic, and erythropoietic origin). Will form colonies in soft agar in the presence of 10% CSA (colony stimulating activity factor).
