RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 5-10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Split confluent cultures 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37C. Cells can be maintained in the absence of serum for several passages.

Karyotype: Hyperdiploid
Derived from the ascitic fluid from 73-year old Chinese female with ovarian cancer. The relatively small epithelial cells grow loosely attached to surfaces and suspended in media as single cells, variously sized strings and clumps of adherent cells. Derived from the same patient as COLO 720L.
