RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 2-3x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C. Maximum cell density 1-2x1,000,000 cells/ml.
Karyotype: 2n = 46
A T lymphoblastoid line obtained from the peripheral blood of a 4 year old Caucasian female with acute lymphoblastoid leukaemia. These may be grown to a high density in a spinner type suspension culture. Cells are reported to be free of virus particles as determined by electron microscopy.
