This is the complete description of the cell line that you requested.
By selecting a generic term (e.g. SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding list of controlled terms, while by selecting a specific term you will go to the list of corresponding cell line names.
SPECIES: human
TISSUE/ORGAN: bone
TUMOR: sarcoma, Ewing's
DSMZ catalog code: ACC 268
Morphology: cells grow loosely adherent in monolayers; some cells grow as round or polygonal cells in clumps in suspension with cellular processes
Description: human Ewing's sarcoma (derivative of RD-ES) thought to be 'established from the benign giant cell tumor excised from a woman who had swelling and pain in the right ankle (distal tibia)'; however, DNA fingerprinting and cytogenetic analysis at the DSMZ established unequivocally that this cell line must be considered de facto a subclone of cell line RD-ES (ACC 260) confirmed as human with IEF of AST, NP
Viruses: ELISA: reverse transcriptase negative; PCR: EBV-, HBV-, HCV-, HHV-8-, HIV-, HTLV-I/II-
Depositor: Dr. L. F. Bonewald, University of Texas, San Antonio, Texas, USA
