90% Dulbecco's MEM (4.5 g/L glucose) + 10% FBS split confluent culture 1:3 every 3-4 days using trypsin/EDTA at 37C with 5-10% CO2 cell harvest of about 20 x 10 6 cells/80 cm 2;
doubling time of about 40-50 hours;
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 3 x 106 cells/ampoule;
negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization assays;
Validated by: cytogenetics 1 (confirmed as human karyotype) * DNA fingerprinting (unique DNA proifle with multilocus (gtg)5 probe) * immunological analysis (cytokeratin+, desmin-, endothel-, GFAP-, neurofilament-, vimentin-) * isoenzymes (confirmed as human with IEF of AST, NP) * reverse transcriptase (reverse transcriptase not detected)
