Available in the following LABORATORY:
-
Part of the Business Division of the Health Protection Agency (ECACC, Salisbury, Wiltshire)
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 0.05mM 2-Mercaptoethanol (2ME) + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C. Cells attach lightly to surface which should be tapped sharply to dislodge the cells.
Derived from BCL1 by limiting dilution and does not spontaneously secrete IgM when cultured in pre-tested batches of FBS. The line is useful for studying soluble factors involved in B-cell differentiation.
Research council deposit: No;
Price Code: C;
Validated by: isoenzymes (species confirmation)
Availability in cell line catalogues: ATCC: CRL 1669
