80-90% alpha-MEM + 10-20% FBS + 2 mM L-glutamine split confluent culture 1:3 to 1:4 once or twice a week using trypsin/EDTA; seed out at about 1-2 x 106 cells/80 cm 2 at 37C with 5% CO2 cell harvest of ca. 6-7 x 106 cells/80 cm 2 or 9 x 106 cells/175 cm 2;
doubling time of ca. 2-3 days;
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at ca. 2 x 106 cells/ampoule;
negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays;
