Part of the Business Division of the Health Protection Agency (ECACC, Salisbury, Wiltshire)
DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 1mM Oxaloacetic acid + 0.2U/ml Bovine Insulin + 2ug/ml Transferrin + 50µM 2-Mercaptoethanol (2ME) + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C.
Established from a lymphoma produced in an NFS/N mouse by injecting CaS-25M ecotropic MuLV. Cells show markers of large pre-B lymphoblasts and spontaneously produce ecotropic and mink cell focus-forming viruses.
