Part of the Business Division of the Health Protection Agency (ECACC, Salisbury, Wiltshire)
DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Split confluent cultures 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 1-3x10,000 cells/cm2 by either aspirating or gently tapping the cells loose; 5% CO2; 37C. Cells are lightly attached therefore use of trypsin is unnecessary.
Mouse neuroblastoma (N18 tg 2) x rat dorsal root ganglion neurone hybrid cell line produced by PEG mediated cell fusion. The cell line has been mycoplasma eradicated at ECACC.
