80% RPMI 1640 + 20% FBS split saturated cultures 1:2 to 1:3 every 2-3 days; seed out at ca. 0.4-0.5 x 106 cells/ml; optimal cell density at ca. 0.5-2.0 x 10 6 cells/ml at 37C with 5% CO2 maximal cell density at ca. 2.5 x 106 cells/ml;
doubling time of ca. 50-100 hours;
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 5 x 106 cells/ampoule;
contamination was eliminated with Mycoplasma Removal Agent, then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays;
