DMEM:Ham's F12 (1:1) + 2mM glutamine + 1mM NaP + 20U/l insulin + 10% FBS Split confluent cultures 1:2 i.e. seeding at 2x10,000 cells/25cm² using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37C. Media rapidly becomes acidic and should be changed every 3 days, although cells need to be subcultured only every 7-10 days.

Derived from the solid tumour of an untreated 51 year old female patient with stage IV disease. The tumour showed a serous papillary adenocarcinoma with clear cell areas.
