This is the complete description of the cell line that you requested.
By selecting a generic term (e.g. SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding list of controlled terms, while by selecting a specific term you will go to the list of corresponding cell line names.
SPECIES: human
TISSUE/ORGAN: peripheral blood
TUMOR: leukemia, chronic myeloid
DSMZ catalog code: ACC 168
Morphology: single, round to polymorph cells growing in suspension, some cells are loosely adherent
Description: human chronic myeloid leukemia in blast crisis established from the peripheral blood of a 29-year-old woman with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) (treated 5 years with busulfan from 1979-1984) one month after onset of myeloid-megakaryocytic blast crisis; cells were described to express megakaryocytic and erythroid markers and to respond to induction of differentiation with various reagents; parental cell line of subclone LAMA-87 (DSM ACC 270) confirmed as human with IEF of AST, MDH
Viruses: ELISA: reverse transcriptase negative; PCR: EBV-, HBV-, HCV-, HHV-8-, HIV-, HTLV-I/II-
Depositor: Prof. D. Seigneurin, University Hospital of Grenoble, Grenoble, France
