90-92.5% RPMI 1640 + 7.5-10% FBS split saturated culture 1:2 to 1:3 every second day; maintain at about 1-1.5 x 106 cells/ml; seed out at ca. 1-2 x 106 cells/ml; maximum density at ca. 3 x 106 cells/ml at 37C with 5% CO2 cell harvest of ca. 2 x 106 cells/ml; doubling time of ca. 40 hours; frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 5 x 106 cells/ampoule; contamination was eliminated with Baytril (enrofloxacin), then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays;
