IDMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 0.05mM 2-Mercaptoethanol (2ME) + 20% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 3x100,000 to 1x1,000,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C. Sub-culturing is normally only required once per week.
Established by infecting peripheral blood lymphocytes of a 5 year old, male marmoset (Callithrix jacchus) with Herpesvirus saimiri strain II. Cells express TS Ag and exhibit natural killer functions.
