90% RPMI 1640 + 10% FBS split confluent cultures 1:4 to 1:6 every 3-5 days using trypsin/EDTA; seed out at ca. 1-2 x 106 cells/80 cm 2 at 37C with 5% CO2 about 7-12 x 106 cells/80 cm 2; doubling time of about 80-100 hours; frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 1.5 x 106 cells/ampoule; contamination was eliminated with Mycoplasma Removal Agent, then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays;
