90-95% RPMI 1640 + 5-10% FBS (possibly add 1 mM sodium pyruvate + 50 æM mercaptoethanol) split saturated culture 1:3 to 1:5 every 2 days; optimal density at about 1.0 x 106 cells/ml at 37C with 5% CO2 saturation density at about 2.0 x 106 cells/ml;
doubling time of ca. 30 hours;
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 4 x 106 cells/ampoule;
negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization assays;
