Fischer's + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 10% Horse Serum (HS) or RPMI 1640 + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 3x10,000 to 5x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C.
Derived from a thymic tumour induced in a DBA/2 mouse by methylcholanthrene. The cells were adapted in vitro growth. The cells have been widely used in toxicity and radiation studies.
