FLYRD18 has been developed together with FLYA13 (95091901) for packaging of retrovirus. it is especially useful for in vivo gene delivery. Both cell lines have been derived from HT1080 (85111505). FLYRD18 has been transfected with Moloney murine leukaemia virus cores with envelope glycoproteins of cat endogenous virus RD114. This cell line is able to produce human complement-resistant retroviral vectors at titres consistently higher than 1x10,000,000i.u./ml. Addition of 4µg/ml blasticidin S and 10µg/ml phleomycin into the media may enhance the packaging function. No replication competent virus has been detected in this cell line.
Research council deposit: No;
Price Code: B;
Validated by: isoenzymes (species confirmation)
